Funding
The Florence Minnie Lees Bequest Fund
A Helping Hand For Ostomists in Need.......
The Florence Minnie Lees Bequest Fund was established in 1982 after receiving a large gift under the
terms of the will of Mrs Lees, a member of the Worcester Division of IA. The money was invested and
has increased substantially in value over the years. It was decided that the interest from the investment
would be used for welfare and charitable purposes benefiting stoma patients.
The main object of the fund, however, is to underwrite the costs of producing the Midlands News Bulletin
although this has never been necessary.
A small sub-committee exists to administer the fund and consider applications from members living in
the area covered by the Midlands News Bulletin who are suffering financial hardship.
Telephones and Washing Machines are just some of the items that the fund has helped provide for
stoma patients in the Midlands area.
If you have a stoma, live in the area covered by the Midlands News Bulletin and are suffering financial
hardship, the fund may be able to help you!
All enquiries should be made to the Secretary of the fund:
